Default wlan firmware cant be install

Hello :-)

i have now installed OpenBSD 6.2 AMD64 on my Thinkpad T60p.

At the end of the installation it told me i have to install

wpi-firmware

i installed it from here

http://firmware.openbsd.org/firmware/6.2/

with

wget firmware.openbsd.org/firmware/6.2/wpi-firmware-3.2p1.tgz

i did this also with

wget firmware.openbsd.org/firmware/6.2/radeondrm-firmware-20150927.tgz

but when i try then

pkg_add wpi-firmware-3.2p1.tgz

what is wrong?

If you're connected via a wired ethernet, just run fw_update(1)

Your em0 device node is for an ethernet device using the em(4) driver. Just dhcp on a single line is acceptable configuration if you just want to device to connect to a LAN and obtain a DHCP lease.

To configure wifi you'll need to configure an /etc/hostname.wpi0

You'll need to configure that appropriately to connect to the wireless access point(s).

If you are running X, you could try something like: $ xset b 50 or $ xset b off

Alternatively, something like this might work: $ doas wsconsctl keyboard.bell.volume=0
