What do webdevs running OpenBSD, use for API testing ?
Hey yall,
I write web apis with Node.JS and use a tool called postman to do API testing. Postman is only available in Linux / Windows / Mac If there are webdevs here, I'd like to know what tools you guys use for doing things like this. P.S I tried curl. But sending JSON payloads is a bit too difficult Edit: Aww shoot! sorry about posting this in the wrong section. Mods, please don't burn me.

I don't do web development, but I happened to attend a presentation on BCHS earlier this year. BCHS is an OpenBSD-based web development stack. The presentation was not recorded, but it was on deploying BCHS with the kcgi(3) library and ksql wrapper.
https://learnbchs.org/index.html Edit: added ksql from my foggy memory. Last edited by jggimi; 23rd October 2018 at 07:48 PM. Reason: can't remember something that happened 4 months ago |

Thanks @jggimi
BCHS is a whole other web stack. I'm interested in building REST APIs. For example: I need to send a POST request to a URL "http://localhost:3000/api/hey" with the JSON payload {data: "xoyo"} and check the response. Postman makes it a bit too easy for me to do things like this. Oh well, if I can't find something like this, I'll build one. Thanks again @jggimi
