Newbie - adventure in gateway world
Hi,
I've finally got both NICs working on my FreeBSD 7.0 box. One of which connects too a PPPoE modem for adsl. I wish to get my windows box connecting to the internet via the freebsd machine. This is where it gets fuzzy... I have set my windows vista machine to use DHCP. And it certainly does work but it leaves the gateway field blank, so as soon as you try and use it, it goes to the alternate addressing scheme. I'm not sure whether this is a windows issue or a freebsd issue. But is there anyway to make sure the vista box keeps the gateway's address? Thanking you in advance, Jonathan. |
