Mount USB Problems
Hi. I've mounted USB sticks under Linux, but having some trouble under OpenBSD:
When I plug it in, dmesg gives me: Code:
umass0 at uhub0 port 5 configuration 1 interface 0 " USB Flash Memory" rev 2.00/1.00 addr 2 umass0: using SCSI over Bulk-Only scsibus3 at umass0: 2 targets, initiator 0 sd2 at scsibus3 targ 1 lun 0: <, USB Flash Memory, PMAP> SCSI0 0/direct removable sd2: 3822MB, 512 bytes/sec, 7827456 sec total Code:
# mkdir /mnt/usb # mount /dev/sd2a /mnt/usb mount_ffs: /dev/sd2a on /mnt/usb: Device not configured # mount -t vfat /dev/sd2a /mnt/usb mount: no mount helper program found for vfat: No such file or directory # mount -t msdos /dev/sd2a /mnt/usb mount_msdos: /dev/sd2a on /mnt/usb: Device not configured |

The device that you want is probably /dev/sd2i - the "i" slice seems to be where FAT volumes are found.
