Default My Ethernet interface shows up in dmesg, but I get no lights and no carrier

I'm trying to install OpenBSD 4.7 on a Lenovo G555 with an Atheros AR8132 Ethernet interface. The interface shows up in the dmesg as alc0 with "no carrier," and the lights don't blink.

I'm getting the same thing in FreeBSD -- the interface is recognized by the system but I get no lights and no carrier.

Is there something else I should/could be doing to bring this Ethernet interface to life?
