Default Older OpenBSD books worthwhile?

I'm considering picking up a couple of older OpenBSD books, but I'm wondering whether the content will be horribly dated, or whether much of the info will still be valid:

1) Mastering FreeBSD and OpenBSD Security (2004)
2) Secure Architectures with OpenBSD (2004)

Yes, I do already own Absolute OpenBSD, 2nd Edition, by Michael Lucas (great book).

I always buy used, when possible, so I wouldn't be out too much $$$, but I'm just wondering if it's even worth it to purchase these books.

I would imagine for practical purposes they would be too far out of date with the present systems, but for reading up on theory, some of it will still be relevant, but you might be better served looking out for a book on PF.
