From what I found, "MS FoxPro" is an ancient Unix product that's entirely unsupported... are there absolutely no other alternatives then running it under emulation? |

Well, there are a number of Clipper clones and a dBaseIII clone (no longer under develoment - DollyBase), but, having tried them all out at one time or another, I would say no, there isn't a replacement. Its a real shame, FoxPro Unix is really useful. I suppose I could rewrite the whole system in something more modern, it's really not that large, but 'proper' languages are much more complicated and exacting than FoxPro. Suggestions for a suitable alternate are welcome! Thanks anyway. |
