Default Cloning FreeBSD

Hi,

Beside using G4U and the combination of (newfs, mount, umount, dump and tunefs) , what else can i use? Can G4U support older FreeBSD like version 4.x? I failed to clone a FreeBSD4.x disk before...not sure it's disk error or compatibility issue.
