VPN Provider (OpenVPN)
Hello to all,
Recently, I'm seeking for free vpn provider(OpenVPN) for my OpenBSD gateway. I'm been followed AirVPN but it quite costly. May I know any other free VPN provider? |

The other month I was looking into the same thing, and came up with VPNBook. The setup and everything seemed user-friendly to the unix-like types. In practice though I didn't find the throughput very reliable, even though they claim it should be. I know the problem wasn't because I was trying to use too much bandwidth --- I don't have any to speak of. You could try them and see how it works for you.
Apart from that, I remain interested in a good answer to this question too. |

jggimi, you're absolutely right, that's an important point, and something I had thought of at the time. In my case the search was rather preliminary digging around to see what is out there and how to get it to work. Thoughts about what it could and should not be used for also have to be developed in parallel.
ADDED: For some of the VPN providers offering a free service, a motivation is to get people to try it out, and then upgrade them to a paid service. (That doesn't rule out the possibility of other nefarious motivations as well.) The free service may be bare-bones and low bandwidth. For me, such bandwidth would be good enough.
