Default Chroot Squid Dnscrypt-proxy

Dear All,

I had installed squid and dnscrypt-proxy from packages mirror.
Does the default installation offers chroot facility?
How to differentiate a process with chroot and a process without chroot?
How to harden running processes to restricted resources like files descriptor, directory, system calls?

Thanks.
