Default Netcraft survey doubles surveyed sites over 2011

From http://h-online.com/-1516945 :

According to the latest report, Apache increased its market share to 65% with the largest overall growth since March. The second largest growing web server software is nginx, which now holds roughly 10% of the market. Microsoft's Internet Information Services (IIS) lost 0.15% but still has the second biggest deployment base at 14%.
You don't need to be a genius to debug a pf.conf firewall ruleset, you just need the guts to run tcpdump

maybe as trivial a suspicion since from a newb .. but I often find on netcraft 2 servers or so marked as most reliable and running windows server 2003 !! while freebsd at the very end of the list !!
how come ? could it be that their reliability is won because they rely on firewalls (bsd ..) ? or is netcraft simply advertizing big companies ?
if this is foolish .. help me dispell it .. how could windows server 2003 be more reliable than freebsd ?????????
