Hi everybody
Due to circumstances beyond my control I lost all my passwords so I have registered again under a truncated version of the name I usually use in BSD circles.
I cut the cord with my cable TV/Internet provider and was offline for almost a year, during which I developed an appreciation for talk radio. It was pretty boring at times though and I'm glad to be back. I've continued to use FreeBSD as my main desktop, have 3 laptops running it and a laptop running OpenBSD, too. I saw an article about how KARL was going to be introduced to OpenBSD, generating a new kernel binary at install, upgrade, and boot time so I wanted to get in on that: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/new...linux-windows/ Having a FreeBSD and OpenBSD machine has its advantages, too. You can never be too knowledgeable of BSD and even with 12 years use of FreeBSD I am far from knowing as much as I'd like. Last edited by Trihex; 23rd July 2017 at 11:58 AM. |
