You can either use an old package or use an old portstree, there are several tags you can use with cvsup.

...But...

Why do you want firefox 1.0.3?

Ok.
Which version of FreeBSD are you running? You can check with: % uname -v

Ok, there is a deleted port for firefox 1.0, you can fetch it with: # cvs -d:pserver:anoncvs@anoncvs.at.FreeBSD.org:/home/ncvs co -r old_RELEASE_5_4_0 ports/www/firefox10/

This will put the port in ports/www/firefox10, no need to more it to /usr/ports, it will compile from any location.

portaudit will complain about security issues, to disable it use the DISABLE_VULNERABILITIES knob.

Also, no guarantees it will build on FreeBSD 7 ...

Have you tried using 'portdowngrade'? This itself is in ports.
