Minidlna streaming to PS4

I've got a desktop running 5.8 -Stable. Since an update there is now a media player on my PS4 (dlna).

It's all set up and working (minidlna) but when streaming HD content the audio lags out after 3-4 minutes.

Can someone advise me on how to find what the bottleneck is and then try and find ways to fix it?

I use the same application with a PS3, delivering 720p, and don't ever experience lag problems. I only serve simple .mp4s, so there is never any on-the-fly video/audio encoding.

I'm using wired Ethernet. WiFi isn't a viable solution due to having to share the WiFi spectrum with dozens of other nearby networks.

OK, I'm (well Wife and Son) now playing 1080p movies and it is running fine. These are in .mp4 the others aren't. I'll test more and post what I find out to the forum.

Why has this been moved to ports and packages? This was about disk performance not package performance.
