Real Player for OpenBSD? Is there such a thing?

No. The audio alternatives found in the ports tree can be browsed at the following:

that's the first place I went to (well after make search key=real) but didn't find one. Was wondering if anyone has had any success with getting one compiled or non-commited ports.

There was some mention of realaudio in 2003 and again in 2006 which can be found in the ports@ archive:

http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports&w=...=realaudio&q=b

Disclaimer: I haven't tried realaudio with mplayer, nor have I tried pacpl.

I don't know when OpenBSD will get the latest release of VLC (The new Qt version), but according to the release notes there was some work in this regard..

"RealVideo support (with the RealVideo run-time)"

The mention of a "run-time" concerns me, not sure what that entails..

There is something called "Helix Player" for Linux.. I'm unaware of any porting efforts, or if it's even possible.
