Default a copy-paste bug in opera 12.15 build 1748

Using NetBSD 6.1.2
Opera 12.15 build 1748 has a copy-paste bug .... can't paste anything

That's a known bug on all platforms (happened to me on FreeBSD). Sometimes it doesn't copy/paste, sometimes it crashes. Maybe this will fix it for you.

And you can always use the native X clipboard.
