Step 1: Examine the Following -current FAQ before upgrading. It will explain any manual changes that may be required.

Step 2: Two choices:

2a: Conduct binary upgrades from snapshot to snapshot. No system building is required.

or

2b: Upgrade from source, per FAQ 5.

Step 3: Make any OS architectural changes described in the Following -current FAQ, either manually, or by using sysmerge(8).

Hello,

Thanks jggimi.

-Current FAQ gives 3 changes : 2009/05/20 - new user and group for rpc.rwalld ; 2009/05/25 - update of daily(8), weekly, monthly, security(8) ; 2009/05/31 - pf enabled by default.

I don't know if it's necessary for upgrading ?

I'm going to try the 2a and I will see the result by hoping that the system works fine after.

Hello,

I want to update the system...

After the checkout of the newest ISO file of OpenBSD 4.5 from the snapshot (from ftp) the system doesn't start and stops here and then reboot :

Looks to me like you are trying to install OpenBSD inside VMware virtual machine not on the real hardware? That is a problem for VMware forum or mailing list not for OpenBSD.

This is the ramdisk kernel that failed. The errer message was:
panic: root filesystem has size 0
So this looks like a damaged snapshot, or a damaged download.
