Default OpenBSD on the notebook

hi

is it a good idea to install und use OpenBSD with KDE or Gnome on the notebook ?
I'd like to install OpenBSD 4.4 on EEEPC 1000H from Asus.

my EEEPC 1000H has wireless chipset: RALINK RT2860
and Ethernet adapter: Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E

kind regards
ccc
