As mentioned above, MacModel is an upstream equivalent to iBooksHacks, that is why the patch never made it back in tree.

This is the answer from the developers:
Code:
What was the bug id? I can't find i on bugs.freedesktop.org.
On the other hand said patch is already attached to this bug:
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9955
-0- - no time to look at this further right now.
I guess for the time being I can only reinstall 4.3 and wait patiently.

And by the way, I must be cursed with Xorg and Ati issues. I tried to install 4.4 on a spare partition on the box I have windows in (I use this box the less I can since it's too noisy, not normal pc noise, REALLY noisy). Well, when I shut down X the screen first gets very dim, and if I restart X and shut it down again, I have a complete black screen, but Obsd works fine, I can type blindly "su" pwd "halt -p" and it shuts down.
Now I' in windows, and have to leave to work, should I open a new thread for this?

No. It has already been reported, and fixed in -current.

The misc@ thread begins here: http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-misc&m=122642011411628&w=2

The PR is #6022: http://cvs.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/query...s&numbers=6022

Make sure you're on -current at or beyond 2 February. The fix to sys/dev/ic/vga.c was made on 1 February.

gosha is using the macppc port of OpenBSD, the vga(4) driver isn't used.. vgafb(4) is instead.

bsdfan666, sorry for confusing everybody, this last reply of mine was about -current I tried on my noisy i386 box.
On my mac I now reinstalled 4.3 and work happily with it
