Post sndiod not working?

My new computer:
Lenovo T540p. Screen is 1920x1080.

Everything is working well, except sndiod must be disabled to get any sound!
I understand that this is a "no-no". I'm running -current, and tried the various
/etc/rc.conf.local flag options for sndiod. Perhaps an upcoming snapshot will
solve the problem, or I'll figure out what I've botched up

If that's the case with a stock install you should send a bug report to bugs@.

Moved from the laptop configuration page:

http://daemonforums.org/showthread.php?t=1880&page=7

...since discussion centers on sndiod(1) compatibility.

Done! Thanks for the nudge, ibara. I was thinking I should, but they're all so busy right now.

And thanks ocicat for the new thread!

Meh. So we'll be more busy. Nothing new!

Problem solved!
It seems if you disable the microphone/recorder in BIOS it causes sndiod to fail.
Of course, I had disabled the microphone , once re-enabled sndiod is fine.

Thanks again, ibara, for the nudge. I would have had a sndiod problem no
matter how many updates I tried. Oh, and thanks to you, and all the OpenBSD
developers, for your amazing work!
