The most easy and quick way is to use Google Docs as drhowarddrfine suggested. It is possible to download the file as Word, ODF, PDF, RTF... Enough for a resume I think.

I tried a demo of the latest Linux version, and man was is unresponsive. I have an earlier version that did not suffer from this problem. I didn't look into it much, since I can just use Word in a VM or on another computer.

One other thing is worth mentioning: the MS Word 2003 previewer works nicely in Wine, and is available from MS for free. If you use a Word-compatible word processor, it is a good idea to check it in the previewer. Resumes, I've found, change formatting more than you would think if you use OO.o (no idea about Google docs). The simple check is worth it.

Google wants to know too many things about you. I like http://www.artofsolving.com/

In particular for Office 2007 idiotic format xmls.
