I rebuilt all three of my FreeBSD laptops last night with FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE:

I haven't encountered any problems or quirks with the new release.

Me neither. I'd been running RC-3 on a couple. On a desktop that had been running 11.0, I did an upgrade with buildworld and all seems fine, except that the synth port won't build. I've seen a bug opened for it which I can't find right now.

You use plain ol' ash as your shell in FreeBSD? I didn't know people did that...
You definitely will earn some respect points from some of my old sysadmin buddies.

My Thinkpad X61 running FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p1 with Fluxbox, XMMS, Gkrellm and GIMP for the shot.

This machine serves solely as the music source for my vintage stereo system.

My Thinkpad 520 running FreeBSD, It's been an OpenBSD box a long time but I prefer FreeBSD as a desktop OS and this my most powerful machine so.... I still have a T43 running OpenBSD and a Mac Mini sitting idle in need of upgrade.

All my postimg.org links are dead now so am back to using tinypic.com.

My current W520 FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p10 laptop. This girl I hang out with sometimes saw the one with the skull I posted last time and said I was "evil, evil, evil, evil".

I'm not going to let her see this one. It's one I made with Gimp and have available for download on my site.
