Default FreeBSD 8.0 Release Notes

Although I haven't seen the official announcement yet, the 8.0 Release notes can be found at: http://www.freebsd.org/releases/8.0R/relnotes.html

Wouldn't be "backup time !!!", "installing from "*bootonly.iso" time !!!" and "restoring from backup time!!!" be more environment friendlier, or am I just too much addicted to OpenBSD snapshots and pre-compiled packages?

When it comes to updating packages, I write a list of what needs doing after a peek at UPDATING, then I run my updater.sh script against the list. Problem solved. Although in this case, I opted to pkg_delete everything first.

The only time I reach for an ISO image, is if I want to (heavily) redo my portioning schema between releases :-P
