Just starting out, learning with an install via Fusion. Thanks to @shep for the OpenBox-based BareGUI.

Here's mine. I'm new to OpenBSD, but not UNIX is general. Happy to be a part of the community!

For those interested in the wallpaper, Here it is! I edited a FreeBSD variant and centered it for us ThinkPad users out there.

Nice @NTX. Saved for future use (probably a ThinkStation at some point).

Glad to hear someone's using it! Be sure to PM me a screenshot of your desktop when you get around to that.

================================================== =======
This is a gif animation, but some parts appear inactive, and appear to be just a screenshot, please wait, if you want to see it all.
Here is how I made it:
Code:
ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -r 12 -s 320x180 output.gif
===============================================
sleep 5; ffmpeg -y -video_size 1400x900 -framerate 15 -f x11grab -i :0.0+0,0 output.mp4

Default What to do in a shutdown ?

What to do during a Covid-19 'lockdown' ?

Well I took an old Thinkpad R51e, upgraded memory to the max of 2 gig using sticks I had in a box, and put OpenBSD 6.6 on it.

With the 40 gig drive, it is a very usable system. And I really like the old 4:3 resolution. Firefox is a bit heavy, but usable in a pinch. On this system I use dillo 95% of the time.

Via FvwmButtons, using the Right Mouse Button popups a mini-menu for related items, the left mouse button runs the default program.

Yes, I haven't got around to packaging up a custom version for this box yet.

I did make packages for dwm, dmenu and slstatus on my last system but I only saved the tarballs rather than the port directories, which was silly.

Sounds familiar.

You're convinced you've thought of everything and the very moment newfs outputs to the screen you realize you didn't backup /usr/ports/mystuff.

All packaged up now:

That's with the attachaside patch and a (slightly) bigger topbar, the gorgeous wallpaper is
Code:
xsetroot -solid '#313233'

Here is one of my favorite. I added OpenBSD to the image with Inkscape.

Here is mine brand new openbox deployment. Actually I am using OpenBSD since 2.8 as a various server solutions but honestly, I've tried it as a desktop a month ago, trying to run out form systemd world.
Well, it's a pity I've wasted so many years with other unix distant relatives and never looked on OBSD as a desktop...
