How to disable touchpad
How can I disable the touchpad on my laptop (OpenBSD 5.0)?
I tried config but that didn't work. I used to run FreeBSD and had the touchpad disabled in xorg.conf, but that xorg.conf doesn't work on OpenBSD. modunload of pms0 or wmouse0 also doesn't work. |

How attached are you to 5.0 vs 5.1 current? In 5.1 current a separate touch pad driver was enabled and the daemon has to be specifically started.

I don't have the synaptics driver loaded and do not have an xorg.conf.

There is no synaptics driver in 5.0 unless you specifically patch and build a custom kernel.
If you stay with version 5.0 you should be able to generate an xorg.conf and set some touch pad parameters in it. Alternatively you could investigate xinput. Another option would be to install current where the new touchpad driver should give you more configuration options for the touchpad. |
