Debian stretch running under vmm in OpenBSD-current:

That's my own port of my own fork of dwm:

^ It's probably rubbish though 'cos I really don't know what I'm doing

Looks good, I saw a post where the OP was complaining that there were no themes available with black background, so I whipped this up to show how easy it is with a window manager, instead of DE

FVWM updated from the default 2.2 "fvwm" to the the "fvwm2" 2.6 in packages.

I have kept a similar colour theme and layout to the original fvwm as I am quite new with it... still configuring it. Usage graphs courtesy of conky. This is my "firefox" virtual desktop in the middle of the 3x3 array where I normally live.

This is the latest incarnation of my OpenBSD laptop, using the i3 window manager. I occasionally use XFCE4, but always find myself going back to tiling window managers, in particular, i3.

I tried Xmonad, which I really liked, but the huge Haskell libraries (which Xmonad needs) were overkill IMO, especially on a system where the KISS principle is important

The terminal I use, terminator, fits in really well within the tiling WM paradigm and replaces urxvt as my terminal du jour.

Here is a few screen shots of how I do things, the WM is OpenBox, terminal emulator Xfce4-terminal, and also Xterm, any way here they are:
---------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------

================================================== ===========
Recently started trying to learn to use ffmpeg to make a screen animation, and gif, below is my first one, after several attempts. I keep all the commands I tried as notes, to help make it easier later on and also often it is a slight different variation of the same command. Later it is just a matter of copy/paste the command I need , into the terminal.
