Default USB KVM switch logfile mess

I bought a USB KVM switch thinking it would be no different from my PS/2 switch except less cable mess. However, as I cycle between boxes the KVM switch does not keep "state" and the OS senses that a USB device has been removed and/or replugged back in.

Do I have a defective KVM switch or has anyone else seen this too?

Here is the KVM switch:

Is anyone else running a USB KVM switch? What brand/model? Does it spew similar logfile data whilst changing between boxes?
