Post cannot open cloning pty

Hello,

I try to login into my box, I change my shell to /usr/local/bin/sudosh, I put the /usr/local/bin/sudosh into the /etc/shells, and it run under 6.3 but not with 6.4
I change the md5 to blf (/etc/login.conf + cap_mkdb /etc/login.conf) change my password. I am able to login as root (using /bin/tcsh in the passwd file)

What I miss ?

Thank in advance

The title of this thread is `cannot open cloning pty', is this an error message you get somewhere?

How did you change the shell to sudosh? Maybe something went wrong there?

And did you change root's shell to sudosh or did you change your user's shell?

Hello,

I get this error message when I try to log in to my box with my username. I change the default shell: /bin/tcsh by /usr/local/bin/sudosh. At the console or if I log in as root and try to do a "su - myusername" I got this message:

"Cannot open cloning master pty: Permission denied
open pty failed: Permission denied"

I changed the shell with chsh -s /usr/local/bin/sudosh myusername, as root.
I didn't change the root shell, only the shell of my test user.

I run under a livecd done by my self (it run under 6.3 p#5).

I rerun the procedure above and I get the same error (double check, sometime ...)

Regards,
