????

500 Internal Server Error = unexpected condition that prevented the server from fulfilling the client's request.

Hopefully they weren't fed after midnight. We really don't need any gremlins mucking around the server room.

Wow, your info is out of date, that is from the '80's, nowadays they are genetically engineered so they won't do that anymore. It's like seedless grapes or chicken that lay an egg a day.

Either way, better not get them wet. They tend to smoke horribly and stop working if you do.

Saw another gremlin running past a few minutes ago while (successfully) submitting a post, I hope they haven't multiplied in the wild, chasing the critters around the server with a water cannon, might not be smart.

I also had the topic last night making a successful post (but didn't make the connection with this thread until now).

I have had a couple of these 500 errors, the last one, a couple of minutes ago. Please feed the daemons regularly

I noticed this as well, not just with the forums but as well as with other apps I run on the same server.

I don't see anything in the webserver logs, just connection dropped ... I suspect php/fcgi is the problem.

Looking at it detailed is difficult since I don't have internet at home (I "recently" moved two months ago ... @#$%^ KPN).

Updated some software, changed some settings. This should (tm) solve the issue.
Let me know if it doesn't.

In other words, he's finally fed them... just be glad he hasn't initiated ritual sacrifices.

No, I just gave them a crate of beer and promised more if they behaved.
