Default Can't access www.OpenBSD.org

Hello,

Is something wrong with the OpenBSD website? I can visit any
other site but www.OpenBSD.org just causes Lynx to hang and
says it's trying to open an HTTP connection. I cannot
explore ftp.OpenBSD.org/pub/OpenBSD/ either, apparently.

Is there a way to tell if the site is blocking me? I recently have been attempting to install firefix via ftp and didn't work well either.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

The website is working fine here, perhaps it might be a local configuration error.. or a bad route.

Try a mirror, there are plenty.

Question Okay, got it!

Hey all,

Hmmm...well I'm not sure why Lynx doesn't want to go to www.OpenBSD.org but I can access it just fine via firefox so I guess that's that.

Thanks for the help!

The problem is on your end, but you haven't given us enough information.. are you using your ISP's nameservers? are they able to resolve the domain properly?

Why did you censor the IP's in those attached files? they're hardly a secret.

Also, for all you out there: openbsd.org and www.openbsd.org are hosted on completely different infrastructure, although both are in Canada.

Ah-ha, I probably would not have noticed the difference between openbsd.org and www.openbsd.org unless you pointed it out.

As it is though, I can access both sites via lynx .... really haven't a clue why I couldn't do it before, though it should matter too much anyways as I pretty much use Firefox now.

Thank you all for your input though!!

Jack ^_^
