I don't believe this - looks like this guy is giving root access to anyone who cares to login on his m/c.

I think maybe he's naive or noob or both. Poor chap.

I think he's trying to sell Solaris education. But I didn't understand the e-mail, nor did I click on the provided URL,

The website is real, it goes to a domain that he has hosted on Yahoo's Geocities.. and there is something running on port 23 at that dynamic DNS domain.

I'm not sure what he's trying to accomplish, but I nearly feel down laughing.. naiveness at its best.

My first though is the guy is either naive or his getting some kind of revenge on someone by letting other people into their network....don't know but strange.

Interesting, he mentions telnet AALOROTOM. Spelled backward, the host is MOTOROLAA. I wonder if it has anything to do with the company?

Looking on MARC for that e-mail address, I found the same form letter broadcast to openbsd-sparc, fink-users, php-soap, netbsd-tech-kern, and turbine-maven-user. The only response was on fink-users: the first reply chastised the OP for posting spam about unix training on a Mac OS list, the second was an apology from the moderator for letting it slip by.

I don't really understand the email, he offers Solaris 10 telnet (!!!) access to help further OpenBSD remote installation ... eehmmm ... ?

More likely, a failure to use Media Player Classic on their Windows laptops.

It worries me that NASA allows such viral contaminates aboard their spacecrafts.
