Default what catching tool to preferably use in openbsd ?

Hi Daemondom mates !

A BSD hacker adviced me to do without tor for anonymy .. so I am starting this thread hopefull to get advice and help on the topic ..
if squid is the best available alternative I hope someone will pave the way to a total newbie to use it on OpenBSD/NetBSD .. otherwise I'd welcome any other equally important anonymizing tool ..

thank you so much !

My problem with TOR is that you never can be sure whether the TOR exit server is not been paid for by the either the KGB/CIA/MI5/Savak/Mossad, and thus under their control

Hi J65nko !
you are right .. simply I believe everyone would want to enjoy privacy .. that simple .. no need to involve those to become a necessity .. in the end .. no one would want to be puppeted by bad guys no matter who they are .. I hope somee would suggest some alternative ..

Well, you shouldn’t be sending unencrypted data through Tor anyway…

As long as you’re only visiting https websites, no exit nodes can snoop on your traffic, unless they try a man‐in‐the‐middle attack.

Tor and encryption are orthogonal. Tor is for anonymity, not encryption.
