Default Permissions of drm or video devices for better fps

Hi,

My glxgears gives me 100fps. Mplayer seems to run fine. My favorite game, the only one I play is Minetest, but it's only running at 8 fps. Last time I accidentally opened my permissions up to everything open 777 the fps went up to a good level.

This is for 3d hardware acceleration. So is there a quick fix? X -configure won't complete also.

You are running 5.4. 5.5 will be released on or about May 1. Note, from www.openbsd.org/55.html:
Quote:
inteldrm(4) has been updated to Linux 3.8.13.19 notably bringing Haswell stability fixes
This may help.

If you skip 5.5 and jump to -current (beyond 5.5 and in active development for 5.6), you get additional drm and inteldrm fixes... and you don't have to wait 9 more days.
