LPD/LPR is RFC standardized, and I do believe Windows supports it.. A tutorial for configuring your Windows clients can be found here, Some "IP Printers" actually have an LPR daemon built in...

Thank you for the reply. I followed the link to the handbook and read thru the Printing section. It mentions that LPD/LPR can communicate via 3 types of connections: Serial, Parallel, and USB.
I am looking for a TCP/IP solution.
It is interesting that the other link that you mentioned for the Windows setup for LPD has a place for an IP address. I understand the configuration setup on the Windows. The information that I am looking for is the documentation and or guidence for setting up an IP addressable printer on FreeBSD. Apparently under LPD/LPR there must be a place to insert the IP address of the network printer. I would like to see an example.
Maybe I am missing something here... and, if so, I apologize in advance.
