I'm not familiar with Xsun. As far as I know, Solaris 10 came with both Xorg and Xsun, and on i86pc Xorg was far more popular.
The common way to configure Xorg on Solaris 10 (including setting veritcal sync) would be
xorgconfig(1); perhaps it works on Xsun too.
