Haiku is great!
I immediately fell in love with it when someone pointed me to it some time before Beta3 was released,now I'm running it as main (and only) OS on two laptops and one desktop computer.
It's exactly what I expect from a desktop system: It's fast and responsive,simple to setup and use and has a consistent design.
Sure,the security could be improved,but it's a BeOS clone after all,and BeOS was a single-user operating system.
Haiku already supports multiple users in the Terminal and it's probably only a matter of time for that to arrive in the GUI.
The biggest news of Beta4 is that it now uses OpenBSD Wifi drivers,which makes it only the third open-source OS to support Wifi a/c (not even FreeBSD supports that yet,only Linux and OpenBSD do).
Another big step is the Wayland compatibility layer that makes GTK+ applications usable on Haiku.
They don't look as nicely integrated as Qt apps yet,and maybe never will,as the GNOME design philosophy is totally different than Haiku and Qt,but they work pretty good.
That also brings GNOMEs Epiphany browser to Haiku,so you can finally visit modern websites in Haiku.
I still prefer Otter Browser for sites that work in it (like this forum,yay!) because it has much more features and configuration options,but not even Haikus own forum (Discourse) works in Otter anymore,so it's definitely good to have Epiphany as an alternative.
