Install OpenBSD httpd on FreeBSD?
Hi everyone,
Is that possible to install OpenBSD httpd on FreeBSD? Please support. |

No.
You could have used keyword OpenBSD and search through FreeBSD ports. https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/ports.cg...BSD&stype=text Note that the FreeBSD ports versions of some OpenBSD software like relayd are really old that should not be used. If you need contemporary relayd you should run OpenBSD. Last edited by Oko; 23rd November 2015 at 02:58 AM. |

The packages of OpenBSD are open source code. Why can't I just install the latest version of a package of OpenBSD on FreeBSD?

You may discover that even though both OSes are POSIX-compliant, that is not enough. This is because the application infrastructures of the two BSDs have differences. If so, you may have to do some porting of the application get it to run successfully on FreeBSD. |

Apparently the answer has changed to "yes."
I'm trying to decide which webserver to use and I found OpenBSD's server is in packages. |
