Default OpenBSD freezing...Garaphics cards comtatible

Hello,

I am newby here, this is my first question.

I have used OpenBSD a few years.

These problems no before.

I am using 7.6-beta.

1. Freezing in graphic mode (such as Firefox)

Possible get out " ctrl-alt-F1 (f2…)" and reboot again.

2, Graphics cards are not comtatible

- Radeon R9 380 PCS+ 4 GB GDDR5 PCI-E

- Sapphire Pulse RX 550 4G

Both start but stop -> ddb {1}>

Its is shame, when I must return them, can also pay.

This OpenBSD inform comtatible cards.
https://man.openbsd.org/radeon.4
Too R9 is there.

Is there a list of newer graphics cards that are sure to work?

Can I found out from my computer reason, why some card is not comtatible?
Maybe ddb {1}> problem can be solved. I cannot.it

(Otherwise three times I tried to write this/OpenBSD, finally Linux saved the day)
Freezing and freezing...

Now I have old graphics card TURKS Radeon HD 6670.
Freezing problem with this.

I need another one for my OpenBSD.
I must choose conpatible card for that.

I hope help for my problems.

If you can reach a TTY or console, you may be able to obtain debugging information. If you are familiar with using the GNU debugger `gdb`:
  • Many packages have their matching debug symbols packaged separately, which can be installed for debugging. These shadow packages are named "debug-<package name>" such as "debug-firefox".
  • The built-in version of `gdb` is version 6.3, and is only useful with kernel and built-in userland program debugging.
  • The port/packaged version, devel/gdb, is useful with packages, and the binary installs as /usr/local/bin/egdb. It is currently version 9.2.

The R9 series is supported via the radeon(4) driver, so it may be worthwhile to produce a formal problem report, if you are able to determine that this driver is at fault.

Since your kernel crashes or panics, you may be able to obtain more information via the kernel debugger ddb(4). There's quite a bit of help for kernel diagnostics in the crash(8) man page.

Many thanks for your answers.

I am not a specialist with OpenBSD, but I try to follow the instructions.
I tell how I succeed.

MbsD

---
Today I installed the stable 7.5 version.
Not freezing, no problems.
