Hello,
I have been looking into FreeBSD 7.0. During the installation, I only want to use one CD, the boot CD. Then can I use like FTP or something to download the rest of the OS? If so, will it be able to use my Atheros5212 wireless card to download? What will come with FreeBSD, and how do I get into a GUI after installation? Is there a place where I can learn about FreeBSD and how to use it? Thanks. |

This looks like a lot of help.

for the wireless card you may need to use the windows driver in the ndis wrapper. try seeing if you can find a driver built into freebsd first though since i know freebsd is supposed to have a good database of supported atheros drivers.
as for the graphics you can compile xorg from source or use pkg_add to fetch it prebuilt. |

Atheros chipsets have excellent support IIRC.
