In the process of moving all my hosting back to Freebsd under my control and not others.
Last thing to do is setup the imap/pop server. So What do you recommend. This is mainly just for me, other users have email forwarded off server. I am using Sendmail. In the past (5years ago) I did have cyrus running. but it was a pain to get setup at the time. |

I also recommend Dovecot. I've been using qmail with Courier-IMAP, vMailMgr and Mailfront now for six years in production. However, I'm currently in the process of moving to Postfix+VDA+Dovecot. Things will get so much simpler, and it'll be enjoyable to have a well maintained and up-to-date MTA once again!

I'm using Postfix + Dovecot. It works out really well because I can also use Dovecot for SASL authentication in Postfix (so I can control who gets to send mail through my MX).
Dovecot works really well. +1

I am personally a courier+qmail fan, but it isn't the simplest to setup, however I am a bit of a security nut so it made sense for me to go with qmail due to its great track record.
