Smile Openbsd 7 - rdsetroot: bsd.rd: not an elf message

Hi ,

I have upgraded from 6.9 to 7.0, when I try to run rdsetroot command it gives following error messages.

# ls
SHA256.sig base70.tgz bsd.mp bsd.rd bsd.rd.orig comp70.tgz man70.tgz xbase70.tgz xfont70.tgz xshare70.tgz

rdsetroot bsd.rd
rdsetroot: bsd.rd: not an elf

How can I fix this issue as I did not have same error in previous version.

# file /bsd.rd
/bsd.rd: gzip compressed data, max compression, from Unix
Kernels are now shipped in compressed form. Uncompress using gzcat(1) or gunzip(1) with -o before using rdsetroot(8).

Last edited by jggimi; 3rd November 2021 at 03:37 PM. Reason: gunzip(1) reference reinstated
