# zzz seems to work with FreeBSD 8.2-RC3 on my T61. \o/[/QUOTE]The zzz command always woked for me, on any laptop, it just did not wake up ![]() Now with 8.2-RELEASE I am able to successfully zzz and then wake up my Dell Latitude E6400 which is very nice, of course it hangs if I lanuch zzz comand during mplayer movie, but without mplayer it works as advertised.

>Yeah, that sucks, another Linuxism that got silently into the BSD land .
Because of wlan0? Sorry, that's nonsense. It's now possible to create virtual interfaces for the same adapter (aka virtual access points). It's part of this: http://www.freebsd.org/news/status/r...Virtualization

How ... I can not create more then one wlan* virtual adapter as I showed in example, or maybe I should rebuild kernel with VIMAGE to be able to do that?

Have a look at this PDF, http://binaervarianz.de/projekte/son...esentation.pdf
I'm sorry, it's in German, but you should understand the pictures (lock at page 6ff.) and get a glimpse about what's possible with this multi-bss in FreeBSD.

New FreeBSD laptop user here.
This is the first time that _I_ have managed to get 'X' to work properly under FBSD. This is an Advent 9112 laptop, dual 1.46GHz processors, 1.5Gb ram, 12" TFT, 160Gb HDD. Yesterday evening, FreeBSD 10.0 installed from a pendrive - wifi setup straight O.T.B. - brilliant. Added extras => package manager (strange that it wasn't in the base install), SC, VIFM, MPG123. Today I added, xorg, pysolfc, firefox, mplayer, xmms, & fluxbox WM (my favourite).
