Default zpool removal to a larger SSD?

I installed my first Openindiana onto a relative small 128GB SSD. Meanwhile the system is running perfect for me with binaries and sources from pkgsrc.

But now I need more space and would like to remove the complete system to a 500 GB SSD. Is this possible without a new installation?
Would import/export zpool be an option?

Regards
Berni

I have not used ZFS for a long time but IIRC zfs send and zfs receive are used to replicate ZFS file systems. See https://openzfs.org/wiki/Documentation/ZfsSend

I have no idea how ZFS on OpenIndiana boots, so you may have to initialize the 500 GB SSD with some boot block magic.

Thank you! So the way might be:

- creating a zpool on the new ssd
- copying the boot block to the ssd
-sending/receiving the old zpool.

Is that correct in the whole?

I never have done this, but I think that is correct.
By googling for "replicating ZFS" I found these resources:
Isn't there an OpenIndiana mailing list where you could ask assistance for the boot procedure?

The FreeBSD cookbook looks fine, thanks.
And yes, an OI mailinglist exists and is my last chance.
