To make cwm behave like i3

Hello,
the cwm have tiling capabilities but I can not find a way to make it do what i3 does:
- Open first window automatically in fullscreen
- Do the vertical split when I open the second window
- Always stay in tiling mode and open new windows in new tile
If I have 3 windows and press the shortcut to tile them horizontally, it works; if I try to rearrange already tiled windows by pressing shortcut to tile them vertically, nothing happens. I have to close those windows, open them again, add them to a group, and then the tiling shortcut works again, but just once.
Is is possible to make cwm behave like i3?

To my understanding, cwm does not have tiling capability. If you want i3wm behavior, my recommendation is to install and use i3wm. If you prefer gaps between window frames, the i3-gaps fork is available.
