profits?
Just wondering - heard (or read) something once (cannot remember) that for every company that produces a Windows based product, Microsoft gets a certain percentage of the sale. Is this true?

I seriously doubt that they do, open source products exist that produce binaries for Microsoft Windows.

That rumour probably got started because of the fact that microsoft required
