non-win/nux/osx, example of unix used for non-IT purposes?
hello
i saw a while ago that several universities, eg in the US, still uses non-windows/osx/linux systems, eg unix : https://www1.udel.edu/it/help/unix/using.html https://sunypoly.edu/academics/major...ence/labs.html is it still the case? what others types of non-IT organisations uses unix for common staff? (means not engineers) are they still type of commercial contracts with end-users unix computers? |

I think Microsoft still uses it in their 'backroom'.....at least they did up to a few years ago...
Colleges & universities often use it in their 'backroom' too. I believe banks also use Unix/Linux, & likely phone companies, & media providers, (Netflix et al) It's in space too....
