the actual error occurred above the first line you pasted in. can you show us more history/context from the build? what command-line arguments did you pass to make and/or what build options did you select via "dialog" (the full-screen option selector)? what's in /etc/make.conf?

Bingo. Also, we need info on the BSD version and how up-to-date it is, how recently were the ports updated, and so forth. These look like X11 errors.

To me it looks like no root permission errors

Try su or sudo
