Question about GOT

I was looking at Game Of Trees and was wondering if it is possible to use it to download the contents of a single directory from the OpenBSD Github.

So say for example I want to mod a small program to use on my machine, but I don't want to download 300 MB and store it on my harddrive. I just want to download the directory it is stored in. Can that be done with GOT?

Not really. You clone the whole repository because that's how git works. But you can then checkout a subdirectory into your working tree using the -p option to checkout.

I don't think there is any way of getting around cloning the whole repo.

If you're tight on space or bandwidth, consider using AnonCVS. The repositories are remote rather than local, and the linked web page has an example of the checkout of a small branch of a larger tree into /tmp.
