I have two ThinkPads (X200 w/ Libreboot and P14s with newest official Lenovo BIOS), both running OpenBSD-current. Neither shutdown when shortly pressing the power button.
Furthermore, Code:
machdep.pwraction=1 hw.allowpowerdown=1 |

Ah, right. On my X200 it takes about 1 s before it starts a shutdown.
![]() However, on the P14s this does not work. I tried adding a second at every try, until it powers off instantly. That's no good. I now run Code:
shutdown -p +1 It's fine. It is a new laptop. Maybe this will get fixed at some point. dmesg of P14s here |
