black screen after switching terminals or energy saving mode

I have this strange issues on my openbsd 6.1 with X (fluxbox). After switching terminals (ctrl+F1, F2, etc.) or when a computer goes into energy safe mode (screen turns off), when I come back to X or click my keyboard to turn on the screen, it remains black, like it's turned off. I know the system is ok and works normally, because I have another monitor attached (with xrandr as secondary) and there it's fine.
Do you know what seems to be the problem?

Are you running 6.1-release, or are you running -current?

(OpenBSD -current has just had a major change to the X11 Windows System.)

I'm running 6.1-release. I've had this problem since day 1 of my 6.1 adventure.

Do you suggest moving to current?
What major change has been done on -current? I can't find any info.

I'm not suggesting moving to -current. Instead, I'm asking because some -current users are now reporting a "blank screen" issue, and it is not always clear what a user is actually running when they only post a release number.

If you want to follow the changes to -current closely, it is best to follow the applicable CVS Change mailing list. These email every commit log as changes are made to the system, or to the ports tree. Therefore, daily or weekly digests may be helpful to subscribers who are not developers.

Thanks for the info! I'll observe this one too.

But my problem with black screen is still left unresolved though. And it's really, really frustrating because if I leave a computer for a couple of minutes the screen goes black and I need to restart X.
